The past eight weeks have flown by. To coin the old phrase, "time flys when you're having fun". We've had so much fun at The Sewing School this semester. I'm so proud of how much the little women have accomplished and progressed. They don't cease to amaze me! I learn many things about life when they are in class, they love to share their experiences with me. We've learned more than a few stitches.

They've completed their little birds, gingerbread man, practiced and reviewed and are finishing up a sweet little Christmas Tree. The Thursday class will review all the rules of sewing, applications and stitches they have learned.

They surprised me with a beautiful white poinsettia and Christmas card. Ironically, I wanted to get a Poinsettia because I had the perfect container and place for it. Voila, I was delighted to recieve it. Thank you, sweet girls!

I will be posting a schedule for classes beginning in January. If any of you are interested in beginning classes or continuing, please contact me. I will do my best to accomodate anyone interested in a class. 3 students minimum and 6 maximum per class!

Any day spent sewing is a good day!

Best stitches,
Ms. Cathy

December is upon us and time is moving fast. The little women enjoyed their Thanksgiving break and are back to sewing and right on schedule. Tuesday they completed their adorable Gingerbread men. Thursday we reviewed our previous lessons and practiced threading the needle and some basic stitches. Threading the needle is so important for them to learn. Now we need to accomplish tying the knot at the end of the threaded needle, it's a bit tricky but they are trying their best. Next week we will begin making other exciting Christmas related items.

The children are developing a great sense of accomplishment! They are having so much fun and learning a life skill at the same time. Please join us, you will love The Sewing School!

Until next time," any day spent sewing is a good day! "

Best stitches,

Ms. Cathy
