WELCOME TO THE SEWING SCHOOL
The Sewing School is a unique and successful program teaching young children the art of hand sewing. Ages 5 to 14 experience the joy of learning a life skill and a craft with a rich history.
The goal oriented program is progressive with an emphasis on control, development of basic motor skills, and cognitive thinking. Each child gains self confidence and a sense of accomplishment with a finished project to take home.
The program is non gender specific. Students learn basic sewing techniques and information on tools used for sewing. Ultimately, most students advance to the basic use of a sewing machine.
